Recently, I watched the Netflix series Biohackers. Do not worry I will not spoil anything for you. This series opened my eyes to a new world of science. Biohacking essentially is the art and science of changing the nature around you and internal to you so that you have full control over your own body. People have been using various ways of doing this by a multitude of huge range of accomplishments, from performing science experiments on yeast or other organisms to tracking sleep patterns, changing your diet, by pumping a younger person’s blood into your vein, in hope that it will fight aging.

Biohackers are not found in your everyday labs. They experiment outside of traditional lab spaces and institutions. They try things on their own bodies with the hope of boosting their physical and cognitive performance.

Now they are some things you can do on your own and do naturally that can help your body. Here are few things you can do that you can do to improve the quality of your life.

1. Sleep: When you sleep, you want to make sure your body is cool, in a dark space, and away from any distractions. Very simple ways to master this this biohack: no phones in bed, no caffeine or prescription amphetamines before bed, no alcohol before bed. Keep a regular sleep schedule and keep your bedroom dark and cool. If you cannot keep your room dark, wear an eye mask.

2. Connect with Nature: Spending time outside had been found to decrease worrying and leads to healing after surgery, among other benefits. Most people are spending less time outdoors. Try to spend 30 minutes to 60 minutes outdoors, you will feel the difference.

3. Move that Body: Spend at least 60 minutes moving that body of physical activity during the day. Just as long as you are keeping that body moving throughout the day and doing it right, just move around as much as possible. Most people sitting too much because of desk jobs. Try to get up every hour and move around.

4. Indulge in Good Food: Eat mindfully but indulge your taste buds with good foods with high nutrients and taste. You should take the time to cook your food and enjoy it as well. Check out some great recipes from a friend here.

5. Have a Purpose: We all have driven to do something. Chasing this purpose leads to reward.

6. Connect with People: Growing up I moved, and I lost contact with a lot of people. Social media platforms allowed me to reconnect with people. However, that does not mean I am connected to them. Pick up the phone, call people and see how people are doing. Now with video calling it makes it so much easier to see people. Spend the time to be connected.

7. Wealth Management Now this is a tricky one, but if you learn to balance your wealth early. How to balance your wealth and make sure you know where your money is at all times, will lead to less stress and worry.
