First Day Photos…Beware

It’s back to school time and you are excited to share with the world about your child’s or your first day of school or work pictures. The information you provide on these posts can lead to compromised data.

You are sharing first days, teacher names, and activities. This information can be used to find more details about you and your family.

Anytime you post from a vacation or back to school or work picture, we recommend doing the following:

1. Do not share important details like dates or grade

2. Do not share location for vacation, while on vacation. This let’s people know you are not home.

3. Remember if you are taking a picture, in front of your house, that the house number doesn’t show.

These are some recommendations…don’t want to scare you. It’s better to be informed and be careful.
